Huge response to Indiramma houses in Telangana: List of eligible persons ready

The Telangana State Government has received a huge response from the people for the ambitious Indiramma House Scheme. A total of 77.18 lakh people across the state have applied for Indiramma Houses. However, out of theseOnly 46.7 percent of people are eligible.The government found the remaining 53.3 percent of the applicants ineligible. The guidelines used by the officials, location details, and income criteria played a key role in this. The fact that 41.15 lakh people were found ineligible has become a topic of discussion across the state.

Three lists: L-1, L-2, L-3 division

As per the guidelines formulated by the government, the applicants were listed in three categories named L-1, L-2 and L-3.
The L-1 list included families who had their own land but did not have a house. Those living in temporary shelters like reeks and mud huts were also included in this.
The L-2 list considered people who had land but did not have a house.
The L-3 list included government employees, those who owned cars, those who owned their own houses, those who paid income tax and those with income above the BPL. These were declared completely ineligible as per the rules.

Field level filtering.. the number of ineligible candidates has increased

There have been many changes to the preliminary list prepared last February. In view of the complaints received from the public, the government has again undertaken a field inspection. Due to this, the number of ineligible people has increased drastically. Although initially only 32.69 lakh people were in the L-3 list, in the latest inspection it has increased to 41.15 lakh. The officials have entered these details in the Indiramma app and prepared complete lists at the village and town levels.

A maximum of 3,500 houses will be sanctioned per year for each constituency.

The government has drawn up an ambitious plan. It has set a target of sanctioning a maximum of 3,500 houses per constituency per financial year. Through this process, it is possible to sanction 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses across the state annually. The Housing Department is ready to give priority to the families on the eligible list and expedite the construction programs at the earliest.

Indiramma Housing Scheme target: Every poor family

The Indiramma Housing Scheme was designed to provide basic housing to the poor people of the state . The government's goal is to provide a blue roof to every poor family. That is why special attention has been paid to selecting the eligible ones through a proper verification process. Due to these precautions, only the poor who are actually eligible have the opportunity to benefit.
