Remarkable achievements during his tenure as Collector

IAS officer Devarakonda Krishna Bhaskar Rajanna from Telangana achieved remarkable achievements during his tenure as the Collector of Sircilla district. He took several steps to overcome water scarcity. He increased the capacity of water storage through measures like piped water supply, land acquisition for reservoirs, and dredging for water sources. Small tanks were installed near reservoirs to widely increase water availability. With his actions, the groundwater levels were able to increase by six meters in just four years. Krishnakumar received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration twice in 2019 and 2020 for his services.
